what would you guys pay for such a beast?

KBB TRADE IN is between 7 and 7.5k. That seems super high to me, but KKB TI is usually LESS THAN wholesale, at least on other models.

I'm thinking that it's a good deal for under 7k?

whatcha think ATG?

I'm not scared of higher milage cars, but I'm just not seeing the value in a 4 year old (they are in the '09 model year now) with that miles for $8,000.

You are in major wear and tear replacement territory. Transmission, suspension, alternators, starters, ect.

I'd consider spending another couple thousand now to get me a car with a fraction of the miles and save myself the hastle of having to potentially replace a high dollar item every couple of months.

JESUS.....they drove it 41k miles a year

My coworker lives 150km from work and commutes everyday, sometimes twice a day (short shift changes) and does that much mileage per year.

His 2000 Hyundai has like 380,000km

Long highway miles are better for your car (less stress on components throughout) than short trip miles.

If the car was properly maintained (oil changed at the correct intervals and wear parts serviced), it should be just as reliable as any other 2005 with much lower miles. Especially ones that are used for short trips or spend a lot of time sitting in traffic.

well, it went for mid 6's, but it was pretty well beat on. dinged up exterior and ratty looking interior. Plus, anything with over 100k is "as is", meaning you can't abitrate it if there's something wrong....so I let it go. Better luck next week. 😀

My 2005 Mazda3 has 93k miles on it, so its not THAT bad 🙂 Knock on wood its been nearly rock solid. Some small problems around 60k (fuel pump solenoid valve), but otherwise running great. Clean interior and exterior. 90% highway miles.

Trying to decide at what point to sell her. I don't want to run her into the ground (though, 93k is nearly there in my book). We owe a little less than its worth (we would basically make back our down payment by selling now)
