I just purchased a used BMW 330i with 125k miles on it, very well kept and very clean. I had to take it to a shop and have a loose connection to the "EVAP" reconnected because it gave me a lean burn code. So the problem now is I'm hearing a squealing of sorts coming from the front on acceleration, it's not loud but it is causing concerns because of the high mileage. Does anyone know what this could possibly be? If I push the accelerator the sound will go away but returns when the car is "taching" around 2k. I'm really hoping it's not the transmission and just an air leak or something like that. No issues with acceleration and no slipping at all in the transmission. PLEASE HELP!!!

I have no solution for you, but search over on e46fantatics.com. Pretty much any question you ever will have about your car has been answered over there.

Make a recording of the noise with the engine bay opened. I suspect it may be the tensioners if they haven't been changed.
