My mom has a 1990 Legacy, it's still running strong after 200K miles. I want to replace my 93 camry with the next Legacy, AWD is a nice option if you live in Idaho.

My problem with subaru is that all of them have AWD and arguably that's an entirely useless thing to have in the South (any handling benefits aside). Inevitably it has to be built into the purchase price and thus you're paying for something you have no use for. That's why i think I see so few subarus down here, whereas in canada I recall seeing a great many more.

so, what you are really saying is that there are never ever heavy rains here and the roads are always dry and you never feel like you could benefit from the safety and comfort of AWD when driving?

Handling benefits aside? You have a Maxima. It is FWD. Turn the steering wheel, push down on the gas pedal, and your family sedan plows into oncoming traffic. STFU.

Most likely true. I wouldn't mind though, as I see it as a positive feature.. regardless of if you "really" use it or not.

Can't beat an AWD launch though. 😀

Yeah, it can't be beat for destroying clutches...

Ummm, no. This Legacy looks pretty sweet but I sure as hell wouldn't take one over a 350Z.

Damn, a very nice car but I still pick STi because I'm planning to track the car and possibly try out rally.

possibly the most improved attribute of the coming Legacy lies in its crisp, pre-Chris Bangle-era BMW-like styling
buahahah!

it does look like an E39 from the A pillar on back
