2004 Legacy Outback Overview

Oh well, I officially just lost all interest in this.

Who cares...this is where it's at:
Packing a version of the 2.5-liter dohc turbo flat-four that makes 210 hp in the 2004 Forester Turbo and 300 hp in the WRX STi, the 2005 Legacy will fall somewhere in between. In the Legacy, the engine will produce about 250 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque?exact figures are still being worked out?representing a giant leap forward for what had been some of Subaru?s most sedate sedans and wagons.
The 3.0 is for lazy cruiser types

Er, so the larger displacement is a NA and the 2.5 is a turbo and will have the 5 speed stock?

Yep. The 3.0 is the NA flat-6. It can only be coupled with an auto.
The 2.5 turbo is the "performance" model and can be coupled with a 5-speed manual...they are deciding whether to add a 6-speed in the second MY

Definitely looking forward to seeing these in the U.S. They look good and performance sounds like it will be excellent (especially if the Forester XT is any indication).
