This car just started having issues. The check engine light is on, VDC and slip light are on as well. When turning the car does not straighten itself - almost feels like power steering has been lost.

Yesterday at the light the brake light lit and I couldn't move forward without turn off and on the engine. The engine takes a bit to turn over, probably about 3-4 seconds of cranking.

The car only has 113,000 miles - bringing it to a mechanic Wednesday. Any thoughts on these issues?

could be something as simple as a weak battery... except for this

just for the hell of it try cleaning/jiggling the battery connections

Rack and Pinion steering - $930 installed w/ parts. Is that reasonable? As far as the lights, I have no idea whats going on.

Another vote for check your brake fluid. I had almost the same set of dash lights come on last winter in a '05 g35x with almost identical mileage. Corrected with some fluid and a bleed of the brake lines.
