2004 Honda Pilot

What are your thoughts about this car? My boss and his wife just got the EX model with leather this weekend and was wondering what people thought of the car. They were also looking at the Sienna but after driving the Pilot, they didn't even make it to the Toyota dealer! They test drove a Santa Fe at the Hyundai dealer first but I guess it just couldn't compare.

Yeah, it looks like a normal SUV to me but somehow there's 8 seats in there.
WTF? Pilot has seating for eight? My mom said it only had 5....... oh well, at least she didn't skimp one bit on the Odyssey! 04, leather, all the extras!

It's car based? It rides very truck like, a big difference from the MDX.

I don't know what world you live on, but the Pilot is basically an MDX (since it came first) with a dif. exterior/interior design.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Basic chassis and powertrain are identical, but it's the suspension and steering geometry that make the 2 vehicles feel so different. The chassis of the MDX is also stiffened, giving less of a "buck" when traveling over rough roads & freeway expansion joints.
