If someone buys it for the LS1, that's way too much...a couple vendors on ls1gto.com have given great prices on new LS2s for thousands less recently. ($5250 + 375 shipping)

I wonder if he's tried posting on the forum, the parts would go much quicker there, just more hassle.

15 freaking miles and the moron rolled it? Seriously, did he buy it, and crash it on the way home from the dealership?

Hell with that, considering it was rolled within 15 miles I'll bet my last dollar those were the hardest 15 miles that engine will ever know.
So, i can buy a brand spanking new one cheaper, or a used one for more thats probably had the rings near shattered from hard driving? No thanks, no deals here.

I doubt anything would be messed up with 15 miles on the odo
you'd need to drive more than that without literally pinging off the redline the whole time to cause any damage IMO. That engine is reliable, and if after 15 miles of abuse the engine was shot? that car would not last 1 year in real life scenario. I bet the engine is fine.
My friend bought his R/T like that, fixed it up, got a good deal on it and the car works perfectly, sometimes these salvage title cars are not a bad deal at all.

EDIT: sorry meant to quote the next post down.

What about the T56? Last I checked, those are more than a couple thousand bucks.

theres somehting called breaking in period, pushing the car when it hasn't been broken in is a bad idea.
