Hey it's a Passat wagon! Oh wait.

The Reliant/Aries wagon was a MUCH better wagon :)

Oh yeah!!! "The Pacifica is aimed at the $25,000+ group, where the PT Crusier is aimed at the $25,000- group."
The Reliant/Aries was aimed at the $8000- group... :)

That looks like a good spot for the gps to me.

Whats that gauge off by itself near the hazard lights switch?

I looks like a Mercedes Benz to me.

http://www.allpar.com/model/cs.html

The design team leader told us (at the New York Auto Show) that, while it has a rear suspension design similar to the Mercedes E-Class, few if any parts are shared. In addition, unlike the concept, few parts are shared with minivans. The design team leader told us (even when pressed) that the Pacifica, as it now stands, had little in common with any other car produced by the DaimlerChrysler empire, aside from the engine. We did ask whether it borrowed any Mercedes suspension parts, and apparently it has less parts sharing than other new Chrysler vehicles (LX, Crossfire).

"Chrysler Pacifica does not share components, but it does share a common rear suspension design architecture with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class," Donoughe said. "Not only did we benefit from adopting the suspension design, but Chrysler Pacifica also benefited from undergoing development testing in the DaimlerChrysler Driving Simulator in Berlin."

Great Vehicle!

It'sa DC... there's a fair amount of parts juggling and research/design sharing for the new Chryslers.

The non-body colored cladding does look cheap, hopefully there's an option for that to be painted. The interior looks nice... better than a Subaru Legacy wagon at least. AWD and hoping some decent power. Does MB offer a similar 3.5L V6 for comparison? Or would it be the current V6 from the Intrepid at around 240hp...

No, for it to look like a Mercedes, it would need an ungaily pair of oval-cluster headlights. That is what happens when you splice a wagon like the Passat or maybe the XC70 and the Town and Country minivan. Wagavan.

I'm 90% sure that it is (unfortunately) the current 3.5 V6... Also, Chrysler usually leaves the plastic non-colored at least for the first few years, and then paints it to match the body. They did this on the Neon and the Caravan.

I'd like to see them use the new 2.7 liter V6 rather than the old 3.5. The 2.7 is a great engine.
