2004 Chevrolet Colorado: Bigger, Bolder, Better

Man that thing looks awesome. And look at the power the Inline 5 puts out - 220hp / 225lb-ft. And even the 4Cyl has - 175hp / 185lb-ft :Q

I think chevy has a winner here. I liked the s10 OK, but this just kills the s10

The Dakota still whips it ;) I think it's V6 is 210/220 and it's V8 is 235/280 or somethign like that.

Well power numbers anyway, I got my money on the GM drivetrain for strength and reliability ;)

The automatic LAUST reponse to any inquiry of a Dodge truck:p Do you have a little Macro setup that allows you to enter that statement at will? :D

I have to admit that's a lot better than the POS S-10 out right now. I'd almost go as far as to say I'd probably pick that over the now very very old Ranger. I still dislike the front end (lifted straight from the Silverado) - what, is it angry or something?

I like the front end. I think it looks very sharp :D I actually like it better than the Dakota front.

Yep they are going to midsize truck with this one. Nice thing is the Envoy is now seeing the 5.3's in em.... it would be fun to dump the 380lbs of TQ 6.0 into one of these ;)

I like how they keep it a truck and not a "Race Truck" (1" sidewall)

I'm not really in love with the plastic-cladded wheel wells, however, they might not be too bad. It just looks cheap to me.

Other than that, I like it. Suitable replacement for the s10 :)

They put huge fender flares on the 4x4 S-10's as well, guess it appeals to some people. (It looks like @$$ to me too)

here's what I like the sound of...

With all the changes and upgrades on this new truck you would think there would be a significant price increase for the Colorado over the S-10 but Chevrolet claims that this won?t be the case.

During a media briefing outlining its midsize car and truck strategy, Tom Wallace, vehicle line executive for midsize trucks, identified the ?heart of this market? to be in the $15,000-$25,000 range and says he expects half of Colorado sales volume to be under $20,000.
