If you wait until next year, you won't get one. In fact, it's probably already too late to get your deposits down to get an Elise before 2005. :(

It makes me happy to see such a niche manufacturer getting some recognizition. Lotus is sweeet. I can't wait until they replace the Esprit.:D

From Edmunds:
There's no discernable power peak so every stomp of the pedal generates a nearly identical reaction. It's more like an on-off switch than a gas pedal. It's hard to knock a car for having power at every rpm, but more than one driver complained of the V6's lack of personality.
WTF?? WWWWWWWWWWWWWTTTTTTTFFFFFFFFF???

STFU!!!

My opinion. But, I can admit I'm biased so... ;)
It helps I'm 25. I dont need smooth, buttery comfort when I drive. i dont WANT it in fact. I want ass pounding suspension, brain sucking cornering and tongue swallowing acceleration and THATS IT. Oh yeah, a CD player and A/C too.

:D :D :D

My take on it:

If it was for me, I'd choose the RX8 in the heartbeat.

But for the general public, I'd suggest 350Z only because its much easier to maintain. You don't have to check oil every 2nd gas fillup.

You gotta give credit to the RX8, with only 240hp it manages to keep up with M3s on a roadcourse.

Says a lot for the car.

kthankxby!

Agreed!

Though, in between the RX8 and the 350z, I'd rather have a 350z over a RX8. I believe the RX8 looks nicer, has a better interior, and the ubercool rotory engine, the 350z is just a better performance car.

might as well buy an old grand prix....they all look alike. I hate what gm did to the monaro, if i was to buy one, id get the original aussie parts

EDIt: Why would you wanna pick this over this ???

heh..the Z is one of hte few cars that has a linear relationship with gas pedal and throttle input. Its actually a good thing.

A rotary engine burns oil by design. So its recommended to check oil level every second gas tank, so you can top off hte oil appropriately.

Now most owners find that to be a hassle (and some probably wont' do it) so I forsee problems ahead.

Honeslty, I think rotary powered cars (in their current form) aren't meant for the general public.
