2003 Jeep Cherokee Help

Couldn't find a TSB or something, had anyone had similar problem ? Car is new, like about 12,000 miles on it.. Dealer doesn't have weekend hours !

Disconnect the battery for 10 minutes and put it back on - if it's just really a random error it'll go away. Otherwise take it into the dealer and let them deal with it.

As has been said there are only 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokees; those are like the original Cherokee but a bit bigger/more luxurious (I guess).

Then there's the Liberty and the Wrangler. The Liberty replaced the normal Cherokee.

They make like 3 types of cars its really not that difficult.

I had a similar problem with a Jeep Cheroke 2000 model. The airbag light would come on and the speedometer would stop working. Also the lights would turn on and off. Talk about a major pain in the ass. We had it in the shop numerous times for electrical problems.

Here is the worst part of the whole deal. My Ex and i were driving back from a movie and the damn thing completely shut down going 60 down the road! Well anyway we were granted Arbitration by the lemon laws in our state ands we go a brand new vehicle out of this.

Easy fix. Lots of Wranglers and Cherokees have it. Just pound on the dash. The electrical connection from the dash corrodes after awhile and they fail to make the connect they need. I have to pound on the dash of my Wrangler every few weeks to fix it.

Sit in the driver's seat and pound your head into the steering wheel as hard and fast as possible. If that doesn't work, try running into a pole at 15mph to tighten up those loose electrical connections.

These two steps should fix your airbag problems.
