What are you talking about? Dodge can't even build a Tranny to support their new Cummins That new one Ford is introducing sounds very interesting, and the 7.3 liter PS is still an amazing engine also and also has the best aftermarket of the current 3.

what? you don't know that i am biased by now?
sorry, i don't know a damn thing about stuff like tow scores and 7.3 "PS" engines or whatever the hell you're talking about.. I'm a Dodgeboy and I like their vehicles. I don't care about how much it can tow up a hill.

I've known for a long time you were a zealot ;), dodge could sh!t in a box and you would eat it and like it Yield :p

IMHO it's dumb to be brand bias about anything, I love the current GM truck lineup but I can't stand any of their cars except for the vette as it shares alot of the truck powertrain, but then again I'm not limited to trucks, I can pop a hood and drop an engine also, you are... we'll just say... "Limited" ;)

And it would still be better than General Mistake made vehicles.

this coming from a guy who doesn't even know how to change a spark plug in a lawn mower.

Just wondering...Is the torque measured at the wheels or the engine? I was wondering because the torque converter in the automatic version would probably add more torque.

they almost always measure output at the crank

And using lower gears would add more torque too...

Yeah, but with an engine that puts out more torque at the crank you can use taller gears than an engine with less torque and still get the same towing behavior, along with better mileage at cruise, so while gear ratios are definitely important I'd rather have the extra torque at the crank.

That was mean. :D

Engine power is measured at the engine.

I prefer the Cummins over offerings from GM and Ford mostly because of the "medium duty" rating on the engine. Anyone heard anything on the 6 speed behind the HO cummins yet? I would still rather have an Allison than a Dodge Trans.
