Looks pretty good, too bad it's a Ford...
With diesels this good now in 3/4- and one-ton trucks, the only question is why isn?t a great turbodiesel offered in the half-ton segment?

Hmm, kind of an ignorant, blanket statement. The sales numbers speak for themselves, or else there are just lots of stupid sheep out there.![]()
What are you talking about? Dodge can't even build a Tranny to support their new Cummins That new one Ford is introducing sounds very interesting, and the 7.3 liter PS is still an amazing engine also and also has the best aftermarket of the current 3.Originally posted by: Yield
haha, gotta love that disgustingly blantant Dodge RAM rip off.
oh well.. at least they copied the best!![]()
Everything about the latest Power Stroke is new, including the cast iron block, the iron heads, the advanced variable-vane single turbo, the high-pressure direct fuel injection system, the high-energy ignition and the super-duper-powerful drivetrain control computer. That conglomeration results in a 6.0-liter V-8 that pumps out 325 horsepower at a rev-happy (for a diesel) 3300 rpm and a vast 560 pound-feet of torque at 2000 rpm. It?s power that comes with elegance, grace and speed that hasn?t been seen before in a truck diesel.
Yes there's an obvious similarity in look between the Ford and the Dodge, but the difference is that Ford manages to make the look work, whereas the Dodge to me has too much of a "pretty boy" look to it. Of course that's just my opinion, but to my eyes the SuperDuty pickups look a helluva lot better than the Rams.Originally posted by: Yield

the new Cummins will be thank Gawd... QUIETOriginally posted by: Shockwave
I hafta agree, gimme the Cummins. Its pretty much the standard by which others are measured in terms of automotive use. And yeah, I like'm loud. Comes from growing up on a farm. Diesel tractors are loud, and under load get a wee smokey. I like that. Not some quiet, clean diesel. Bleh to quiet.
The current one's are not gutless but the Duramax was compared to both of them in an uphill towing contest and the quiet max took em both to the bank, I'd definantly wait for the new Cummins, it's got much better emmisions too.Originally posted by: Desslok
Are you calling the current Cummin's engine that is in the Ram gutless?
