2002 Dodge Ram -- Is it really the new Mayor of Truckville?

So what do you guys think if this new truck? I personally think it is a LOT better looking than the old ones, and the option of having stock !!20"!! wheels is pretty nice too.

Your opinions?

I would hardly call those trucks. They are nice and all, but totally not what one would generally look for when buying a real truck.
 
for trucks i like dodge.... but the only gripe i have for the 2002's is the real tail lights.... i don't know, they just don't do it for me

but i really like the dakota sports (NOT extended cab)

for reals...i hate dodge advertising campaign...i dont think i will ever buy a dodge in my life just cuz of the advertising...everytime i see that one boring guy with the glasses i change the channel.....
 
I just saw one tonight, a nice salt covered black one.
The tires looked kinda low profile though, I don't imagine they'd be too hot offroad, but damn the truck looks sporty.
I'd certainly consider one if I was in the truck market. Then again, if I was, I'd go with a Dakota R/T no questions asked, but the Ram is still nice. 🙂

WTF? I've always liked their ads. they by far have the best ads of the big 3.. very nice commercials, i really liked the 300M commercial a year or so back..

and YES that IS the mayor of truckville.. that truck looks DOPE.. I've always liked RAMS (well, since 93) they had the most kick butt radical re-styling i can think of.. THUMBS UP!

My friend has a 5 speed short box, single cab. Man, that little truck hauls some serious a$$!

Good Lord, not this much though.
 
does dodge offer the v10 option with their ram anymore? i don't see it anymore on their site and lately i haven't seen any on the road.. it would be a shame if they did stop offering it.
 
The front end is fugly. The older front was much nicer. Looks like some lincoln navigator got blended in there. Ugh.

Dodge is bringing the Hemi back to replace the 5.9L V8. I believe that is what is talking about. Here is a little something on it

The new 6 cyl is already in them, i believe, it is 3.7L. The 318 is being replaced by the 4.7L in the Grand Cherokees, and the 5.9L is rumored to be replaced by a hemi(354 or 383 CI). Also, the 2500 and 3500 will both be available with V10 variants of the viper engine

I don't know if I can wait 'til 2003 for them to release it for the 1500 series Ram. Anybody got more details? 🙂
