I saw an interesting ad for a 2001 Toyota Corolla with relatively low mileage at what looks like a pretty good price. Are there any reasons not to purchase the 2001 Corolla? (Ie, bad engines that year, bad transmissions, etc.) Was that a good year for that model?

my 2000 served me well. they have timing chain since 2000, so no need for a belt change. these cars are the definition of reliability. noisy serpentine belt is the most common issue i've heard about.
