I'm thinking about getting a 2001 Honda Accord. Anyone have any suggestions about options/mods? Also, what kind of audio equip do you guys think I should put in there?

I dunno, you'll probably want rims and a fat wet fart exhaust tip.
Then get them windows tinted, load it up with 4 12 inch Earthquake Magma's, powered by a pair of nice Kicker 1000watt RMS amps, some nice Infinity Components, Alpine head and osme other nice stuff :)

Get 4 12" Kicker Solo-Baric L7's (The Big Square Ones :)) My freind has 1 of them in his car, and its WHACK! Pair that up with a Sony CDX-C90 head unit, some Rockford Fosgate Fanatic Q's, Kicker Amps, Audio Control bs and all this other stuff :)

Hi optiplex, I recently got one myself, a 2001 Accord EX. Fantastic car, came loaded all but leather. 6 Disc changer, moonroof etc. I opted for the 155hp 5 speed version which is more than enough power, last week on the way to work a v6 camry woulnd't let me in to a lane and it was quite easy to drop it down a gear and pass him. We drove the V6 version and there wasn't alot more power there, plus its auto (YUK). Anyway good luck in your car purchase, you can't beat that sedan its pretty much the best in its class along with the camry. Definitely nicer than anything GM or FORD has :)

Go to Purehonda They have a lot of info.
Then go to the Accord forum and read, you will learn a lot and you will make a decision.

hey optiplex....how much does the car cost. I almost bought a lx for about $20000. I have to get later cuz I found out that my insurance will cost about $4500 for a year. :(
The only difference between the 2000 & 2001 are the front airdam, read tail-lights and the lx comes with a cd player instead a cassette. Price wise is the same.

personally i'd go for the works and definitely the coupe. i just don't like the 4 door. if i were getting a 4 door honda it would be the TL.

I don't really like the idea of a square sub.
Old fashioned? maybe.

Dude...have you ever heard them? They are the best...they can play everything...brotha music and heavy metal :)

I would opt for the sedan over the coupe for the superior side-impact protection; the large door and pushed-back pillar provide less protection in a side impact than a smaller door with a pillar closer to the seat.
