I have a GeForce 2 MX/200 in my server box. Yea, its overkill, but oh well. The server is running Windows 2000 Server. For somereason, I can't seem to convince 2000 that there is a card other then a generic VGA card in. I have tried multiple drivers, installing DirectX 8.0 before putting in the drivers and nothing seems to work. All I get is 16 colors and a max. resolution of 800x600. Any help?

Sorry, I ran a geForce 2 ti on my 2k server for a bit..had no problems.
Have you installed sp2 (not that it should matter~but you never know)
Maybe try installing the Nvidia drivers that are in .exe format not the ones that unpack and make you browse for the files..I used those ones when I first installed the card, then unpacked the 21.8x and used the update driver and browsed for the newer files.

Good luck!

Thanks. I've tried both routes of installing the files, and that hasn't worked. I'm a little off on my jargon, whats sp2?

SP2 = service pack 2 ... it's a couple-hundred meg download from Microsoft for Windows 2000 that has a LOT of bux fixes. All newer sold versions of Win 2k are SP2 ... to check, go to control panel --> system and it will say Windows 2000 service pack 1 or 2 ... if it's 1, download the update from Microsoft.
