$2000 debit cards given to katrina survivors, what do you think they will buy?

They'll sell it to somebody for $1000 because they want cash.

My mother-in-law has a restaurant in West End (Atlanta) and she always has people on welfare offering her their $100 EBT cards for $50 cash.

Use it as an emergency....

I'd rather save a few bucks and eat red cross food😉
Probably save this for airline tickets to relocate

since most of them are poor blacks to begin with, weed and guns. maybe some cheetos if they get hungry (not a racist comment, it's just true)

some of them might put the money to good use...but i think a lot of them will fritter it away seeing as they will expect to get a lot more handouts fromt he government, charities and all these televised fundraisers

well:

1. down payment on a apaprtment first to have shelter
2. Go buy clothing
3. Get a new job
4. Buy enough food for the family
5. Start over and be lucky your alive and dont complain, itll just make things worser.

not everyone gets $2 grand, depends on how many kids you have. say ya have no kids, you would get around $320, not a lot to start your life over. they should give these poor folks $50 grand, we can spend a million dollars on a missle that we shoot into a mountain, i'm sure the govt can afford to give more.

$50,000? So if you were renting a $300 a month apartment, owned no car, you should get $50,000 grand for being displaced?

I only read that $2000 debit cards were being given out, and it was 1 per household.
