I have ASUS A7V133A and W2000 Pro, recently I installed USrobotics modem. Prior to that, I have noticed that NIC behave strangely Lan icon show that I am loosing and getting connected every while. Similar thing happening with modem. Works only on first-fresh installation after rebot won't work.

When I went to Device Manager I noticed that seven (7) devices are connected to same IRQ, number 9. In hardware theory one IRQ per device. I do not know is this source of my problems but my attempt to change IRQ failed because this feature is disabled (grayed out)n every sigle suspected properties.

Is there anyway to enable it?

Thanks in advance

7 devices sharing same irq is normal when win2k has acpi enabled
try disabling acpi and see what happens

Go to My Computer\Properties\Hardware\Device Manager\Computer\ACPI\Properties\update driver\when there select display a list and then show all hardware. Select Standard PC. You will probably
have to reload some of your other drivers but it worked for me. But I didnt realize much of a difference since I didnt have any hardware conflicts.
