I have the shuttle sn41g2 and was wondering if anybody had any experience putting a 2nd hard drive in. Currently, its running 2800 barton, 2x512 ram, ati 980 0 pro, and a 120 gig hard drive. Will it have enough power to support a 2nd hard drive? I want to take out this useless floppy and put in additional storage instead of using this enclosure, but I if it causes problems for say my video card or something, I won't do it.

Thanks

You should be fine. TechTV did a study several months ago, were a similarly outfitted rig with one HDD, two optical drives, high-end vid card was effectively consuming only about `120-150W at full load.

a friend of mine has a AMD 3000+, iGB RAM, 4 250GB HDDs on a RAID 5 card, slimline DVD/CDRW, and Radeon 9800 Pro,.. all powered by his 200W PSU, after long lan sessions, the PSU gets really hot.

You would be seeing some warning signs if you were that close to overloading your psu. The psu would get really hot and the system would probably reboot when under heavy load(such as benchmarking or playing games like halo).
