Circuit City stores in Connecticut are all out of Radeon 9800 cards. I can get a Geforce 5900 shipped for about $190. I can't really spend more than $200 Unless you guys have a better idea, it looks like XFX GeforceFX5900 will be the card I get.

Ps. It's an AthlonXP 2200+ system running on Nforce2 platform at 266MHZ DDR. The video card that's still in there is a trusty old Geforce2 GTS. So anything I choose will be a huge upgrade. I'd prefer to go with Radeon 9800NP, but paying $100 extra for 10% improvement in framerates over the 5900NU seems like hardly a bargain.

Have them do a special order if they can. Back when they had a deal on Western Digital 250Gb drives, they went OOS and let me order one. Paid the same price, just had to wait a week for it to come in. That would be your best bet.

I would do what he suggested. I ran into the same problem, though I got so torched at those Bozo's I went ahead and ordered one from NewEgg for $265 shipped.

Those fux at CC are totally ditso'd. They're not getting a penny from me.
