my wife somewhat recently sent her phone through the washing machine and she's been using an old phone we had lying around while we waited to see if it recovered. In the end, even after cleaning, we declared the phone dead and now she's ready to buy a new one. We'll be in the states in April and so we've decided to pick her up an unlocked phone there to bring back.
We had thought to get her an iphone 3gs but then we saw that apple upped the price to $375 and it was no longer as appealing. I've been thinking an android phone would be a nice alternative but I really don't have any ideas for her myself. the selection here in Israel is very limited and what there is available is vastly overpriced due to luxury taxes so we never really considered getting one locally. I know that she's not interested in rooting the phone. All I really have is hearsay that Samsung and HTC both make nice phones, but I'm really in the dark about this. Anyone have a suggestion?
added: also, I was thinking that a windows phone 7 phone might not be a bad choice for her. does that sync well with a mac?
