obviously no overclocking because my understanding this board won't do it

So - just simple question - want to put in a 1.4 athlon - any advantage with one FSB or other?

thank you

The higher the FSB the more quickly the CPU is able to communicate with the other parts of your system. Run at the higher FSB for better performance.

go for the 266 mhz chip, then you can take advantage of the extra bandwith of DDR. I understand that running cpu a 100, and DDR ram at 133 is not a good thing from a performance standpoint.

266 definitely! Don't hold this board back by running 200. 200/266 <edit: Athlon> CPU's are the same price and DDR is really cheap if don't already have it.
