I vote be lock all such threads at the first post.
And spank the OP for such tomfoolery.

No, I'm not planning on locking it, and I'm definitely not planning on spanking anyone. I have the physique of a geeky nerd... spanking is not my forte.

If you want to try to make the case to me that discussions of Android marketshare... or the inevitable iOS vs. Android usability divergence... are not on-topic for Mobile Devices & Gadgets and thus deserve to be auto-locked, feel free to send me a Private Message and we can discuss.

Otherwise, if you don't like the thread... don't read it...?

So in this case, iOS functionality is not same or better, it's completely lacking.
So what you are saying is that a non-existent iOS app with same functionality looks better. Great.

I mentioned facebook and iHeart Radio. Theres many many more, but kinda lazy looking that up right now.

You don't get it, tasker is about getting stuff done not showing off the UI to your friends at Starbucks. For all I care the interface could just be white text on a black background as long as it did not impact functionality.

The fact that your entire complaint is about how tasker looks rather than how it functions kind of proves my point, a lot of. iOS fans seem more concerned with how pretty the app is than how it works.

I've been hearing about Tasker a lot, what exactly does it do?

It's a phone automation app. One of the more basic things you can do with it is stuff like using the gps to put your phone on silent when you walk into work or even put it on silent when you lay the phone face down. The only limit to the type of automation that is possible is your creativity and technical ability.

Some big name games have recently come out for Android first. As huge as Android has become, it's inevitable. iOS was #1 forever until this year so we all know we'll start seeing more and more quality releases for Android either first or at the same time.

Yup, Minecraft Pocket edition was an Android exclusive until very recently.

EDIT: Had a post addressing JD50's clearly biased views. Deleted it, not gonna bother in this thread. If he wants to discuss it, PM's.

It's cool, I'm not really interested in your biased views either. Like I said, this has been going on for 2+ years.
