$200 for new windshield

Finally, after 2 months of driving around with a cracked windshield, I decided to pony up the dough and get it replaced. About 2 months ago, my car was suddenly attacked by golfball sized hail. Cracked my windshield in 3 places. Cost me around $200 to get it replaced today. It's great. It's almost like having a new car. I'm happy. Just felt like sharing.

You have insurance? Most cover windshields w/ no deductible. Of course, they'll find some reason to raise the rates next renewal... but they do that regardless.

In Florida, cracked windshields are fixed for free.

When mine gets too dirty, I just throw a rock thru it.

I hear you typy. When I feel like increasing the insurance companies losses so everybodys policy payments go up, including my own, I throw a rock through mine too.
