I can't believe we are down to 20% of the key space left. Total done was at 20% when I started cracking for DNET and Team Aanandtech. and now we have done 80%...

Space Walker, I know what you mean. It's taken roughly 1700 days to reach 80% and will take roughly 200 to reach 100%. Then we start over to find the key - just joking - can anyone spell CSC? If we did start over, it would take roughly 1000 days to do the entire keyspace at current rates.




By the way, not to nit pick, but your first RC5 blocks (173 of them) were on 21-Apr-1999 according to your participant history page. We hadn't even hit 9% by that date. We hit 9.788% on 29-Jun-1999, and 20.016% on 5-Mar-2000. I just happen to have that info! Did you mean when you joined TA?

You think you're old; we weren't even at 5% when TA started RC5 I believe.😛 Then there was the party when we hit 10%, I still remember dragging a drunken Ray by his cane, after he got mad over the guy who cracked the 10% block(the guy who cracked said block got some steaks from the Dnet crew I believe). It's sad to think in less than 200 days(in theory), we'll be done with this project. TA has been working at it for more than 3 and a half years, and the end of our inagural project will be a sad moment indeed.🙁 On the other hand, since we will find the key, I suppose I'll have to take the Oregon crackers out for a party when we do find it.😀

Since I turned a large portion of my herd loose on the RC5 project again, I'm once again up over 35 MKeys/sec! I'm aiming to make that 50 MKeys/sec in a few weeks! :Q 😀
