20" WSXGA+ LCD's & GPU resolution support

Is anyone running either a 2005fpw or a 20" Cinema Display on a non-Dell, non-Apple machine? If so, did your GPU support 1680x1050 automatically? Futhermore, what GPU do you have?

There's some disclaimer highlighted in red on the "Overview" section of the 2005fpw stating "To optimize this monitor's performance, your system must be able to support WSXGA+ resolution (1680 x 1050)," and that made me wonder since I was considering buying the 20" Cinema display when the PowerBook G5's are released and using it with my Windows workstation. BTW, I have an eVGA AGP 6600 GT. Thanks.
