20 Worst Twist Movie Endings

It must be one of those lists where they pick really good movies in order to show that they don't just follow the crowd, even thought they know that it's not true. Damn people trying to be different... sigh.
 
1. The Life of David Gale - I can understand why this one is here. It just shows he deserved what he got... he was a psycho.
8. The Village - I can understand this one as well, but I think it was better this way. A scary movie plot would have been lame.
9. Fight Club - The twist made the movie great!
10. The Forgotten - Ugh! Agreed! It was better pretending to be a gov't conspiracy movie.
12. The Usual Suspects - I thought the twist was why people liked the movie.
13. Reindeer Games - Agreed! Bad movie, but Charlize!
15. Man on Fire - It wasn't so much a twist, but a part of the movie.
18. Swimming Pool - Who cares! The girl was hot!
19. The Stepford Wives (remake) - Bad movie, with or without the twist at the end.

That was my feeling about many of the comments in the article, a typical reviewer's attempt to be seem more sophisticated than the masses.
 

Primal Fear definitely needs to be on that list...not a big Richard Gere fan (Norton was pretty good), but there was no way you saw that one coming...
 
man did they get their best endings messed up with their list of worst?

the usual suspects is one of the great twist endings of all time

and fight club shouldnt be there either
 
I can't believe they would put the Usual Suspects on there. I remember watching that movie and thinking it was a second rate crime film, but when the ending came it instantly became one of my favorite movies.

Two movies that should be there are Freddy vs. Jason and Alien vs Predator.

SPOILER ALERT: When I go to see a "vs." movie, both of them in theaters I watched, I expect one to win and one to lose. Fscking ridiculous, I want my $8 back.
 
I have to echo others feelings on this.

The Village sucked, not because of the surprise ending...but because once you see the movie once you never want to watch it again.

I was so hoping that those monsters turned out to be real afterall. Or they at least left it open ended.
 
man on fire should definitely not be on that list. that was a great movie, and the ending was very good IMO.

however i also agree with the forgotten, that ending was horrible. same with the village (that should be the #1 IMO).

i don't agree with the life of david gale either, i enjoyed that movie and its ending. same with the secret window, i enjoyed that one too.

the rest i haven't seen or can't remember.

that was probably the BEST twist out of any movie i have ever seen to date. even telling people there IS a twist at the end of the movie can kind of ruin it for them.
