I feel so isolated from the true sense of what its like to live in North America.

Weather forecast here:

68f today with 5 day forecast below. Low of 48f for basically all nights.

My wife and I are planning on moving to a more affordable state, but we forget that this is why CA is so expensive. Her brother is buried in snow right now and I go out, day and night in shorts, flip flops and a T-shirt.

EDIT: I'm actually kind of concerned about moving to a cold place. I'm afraid my kids will go out and get lost somewhere after school and die in the cold. Paranoid? Yeah probably, but they are my kids and I can't stop those thoughts from arising.

The weather has very little to do with why CA is expensive. Garbage in, garbage out principle applies to governance as well.

So, what you're saying, is that you've passed on some inferior genes to your children, which makes them more susceptible to getting lost while walking home a couple blocks from school??

-15F where I am..couple hours south of Chicago. Wind was howling today. Took an hour to plow out my parents and grandparents driveways. I think my toes are still numb from that. No me gusta!
