PCs For Everyone has a 7.81 lifetime resellerrating and the monitor seems good...

its an AOC 203P 20" TFT LCD Screen with 12ms response time, 700:1 contrast ratio, with max rez @ 1600:1200.

The site gives much more detail... I would buy 2 or 3 but i purchased 2 Dell 2005's for $350 each about a year ago...

enjoy

of course this is if you must have a 4:3 monitor with 1600:1200 and I preseme the 12ms is due to having a true 16.7m color panel (note- if those arent important to ATers one can get an ACER 22in widescreen for around $250 at buy.com http://www.pricegrabber.com/rd.php/pg=p...0265d0bb6d0fd18d975ed9a/search=AL2216W )
another note- AOC only warranties the panel for 1yr, parts and labor only is 3yr (acer and benq is ALL 3yr)
AOC warrants this product to be free from defect in material and workmanship for a period of three (3) years for parts & labor and one (1) year for CRT tube & LCD panel after the original date of consumer purchase.

Does anyone own this & the Dell 2001FP? How do they compare..? I really love my 2001FP, and for $250, a second monitor could be nice...

2001FPs were S-IPS, at least early on. I believe Dell moved over to PVA later on. In any case, the 2001FP has always had an 8-bit panel.

The 2001FP was/is a damn fine monitor.

Dude, 12ms?!?! C'mon...

Would you rather have 12ms and no ghosting, or 5ms and no ghosting, with 6 bit color?

12 ms == no ghosting, I agree. I have the Dell 1905fp (20 ms!!!) and I see only a hint of ghosting. I might pull the trigger on this deal and use it as my main monitor, the Dell as the secondary.

Dual monitor setup FTW.
