I recently joined a forum and wanted to share a YouTube video as an example to sorta illustrate an idea, and the forum requires new members to have at-least 20 posts before being allowed to post a link. I thought of the Anandtech forums and how we often get 'bots' or new members posting the same thing and links across all the forum sub-menus and thought it'd be a great idea to implement.

From my experience in General Hardware that would hinder anyone looking for advice on builds. If we have a new member who needs a build in ireland or something, a link to the site they will be buying from is important.
