Breaking news, 20 people injured during a school stabbing.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/04/09/franklin-regional-high-school-stabbing_n_5117027.html
Emergency crews in Pennsylvania responded Wednesday morning to reports of multiple stabbings at a Westmorland County high school.

Authorities said that one person is in custody following the 7:20 a.m. incident at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, according to WPXI. As many as 20 students were injured in the attack.

We have to do something about these knives. Maybe a waiting period and ban knives over a certain length.

There is no reason for anyone to have access to an assault knife.

Knife rampage: 20 people injured
Gun rampage: 20 people killed

Weapons don't cause violent rampages. People do. But having lower-grade weapons does limit the extent of the carnage.

The anti-gun people will come in here and wax poetically about how the knife was less lethal and therefore this didn't result in a mass killing.

They don't know what the intent of the stabber was do they? 20 people injured and none killed sounds like he/she was only interested in injuring versus anything else. Was it a pen knife? Exacto knife? Pocket Knife?

Where was the armed resource officer? Was there time to respond? how quickly was it over?

It is all about the intent. I can assure you if I had a knife in a school and was intent on killing, there would be dead people...and maybe less injured.

Key difference between knives and guns is knives lead to 20 injuries where as guns lead to 20 deaths.
Sad what the hell is going on lately.

You anti-gun fanatics are just too much. I love laughing at your antics while wearing my concealed carry firearm at my place of work!!

You can spin a story like this any which way you want to. I'll say that if the teacher/administrators where carrying, then there would have been less than 20 people stabbed and we would have one dead son-of-a-bitch attacker which is ok with me.

Is this supposed to be sarcasm?? A waiting period on kitchen knives?? That is such a stupid statement that it doesn't even garner a response.

Nooooo don't you understand, it's not the attackers fault! He is basically a victim here, a victim of conservative society and videogamesss. We need to rehabilitate himmm. He can be a functioning member of society, he can make license plates in prison that is usefulll. Plus he furthers our modern progressive agendaaa

We need to get rid of guns! We aren't living in the past anymore. This isn't 1776. Why do you need a gun? Why!!! Why!!

I want to live in a peaceful world. I can't even go into the movie theater without fearing for my life. :(

Is there any event that doesn't trigger an instant response from gun nuts shooting their stupid mouths off?

Take note from the rest of the modern progressive neckbeards, just stay in your basement with 911 on speeddial. "Speedial 1" is faster than 911 and that might save your life one day.

Are you talking to yourself?

Have you not read some of the responses in this thread? The original poster linked the HuffingtonPuffington post. If that isn't a left wing anti-gun rag of a newspaper than I don't know what is.

It's hard not to relish in the fact that CCW rates are skyrocketing, and our court systems and laws fully support the right to self defense via firearm.

We are a global society, if you don't like the way we do things move your failed circlejerk to the UK

So at what age should students be allowed to carry a gun to school?

I think we should lower the legal age to carry a firearm so that we can protect our students. It's not enough if just the teachers are carrying a weapon. The only way our children can be safe is if they're all armed.

If a tree falls in the woods does a gun nut grab his nutsack and start shrieking about gun rights?

<== fully supports 2nd amendment rights, still think gun-nuttery is a psychotic condition.

No you stand your ground and blow that mfer away with your open carry 44 magnum. Dust from the falling tree could stir up and get in your nose, cause a deadly upper respiratory infection.

Because that's not logical.

What is logical, is training some of the teachers to carry in order to responsibly deal with situations like this.

That's the problem with you nutter gun grabbers, your attitude in this post is why ANY bill touching gun rights gets shot down. You people are incapable of making logical decisions or arguments, or reasonable changes to the way we do things.

Thank goodness mainstream america isn't falling for this modern progressive BS.

If those 20 people had knives as well - this could NEVER have happened.

Like shooting rampages at military complexes,.. they don't happen, because of the availability of weapons and armed personnel.

All it would've taken is one teacher and a well-placed round to put the attacker down.

You modern proggies keep on tugging each other off while ignoring the glaringly obvious facts of the situation.
