this Chaintech Geforce FX5200 128mb card is pretty cool running at 321/420 from the default 250/400 (375 read by powerstrip)
I just wish it had a bit more mem bandwidth
I think that is the only thing holding it back

Basically your system is slower than a crippled snail with arthritus, so that explains the low score.

Dont want to rub it in or anything but, why did you upgrade a BIOS on a perfectly working Mobo? Or was it?

If it aint broke (everybody say it with me!!) Dont fix it!!!

Anyways, can you flash back to your old BIOS? You did make a backup of your old .bin file right?

Woohoo! Now you have gone from the slowest DX9 card ever to... the slowest DX9 card ever. To the max! 😉

Wasn't there an SiS Xabre DX9 card released before the Radeon 9700? AFAIK that would take the slowest DX9 card crown.

I would hold off on calling the 5200 a 'DX 9 card'. I read it supported only minimum DirectX 9 requirements, and that DX9 support in that card is crippled (he-he) when compared even to the FX5600, not speaking of the Radeons. Add that to extra slow speed and well... You get the pixor. However, if you think your 5200 is slow don't throw it away, it isn't if you compare it to the 64-bit wide memory bus variety of the 5200 chip which now go for under $50 and they do indeed perform like crap. Gotta look on the box just not to buy that crap by accident, LOL.

Ocd to 273/443

You really should compare your benchmark scores to others with similar systems, and pay no attention to those that say your system is slow. It is indeed fast enough to run any game out now. Maybe post your own thread about it.

on my other computer, the highest i managed on the 5200 was 800 for 3dmark03, heh...
i love my ti4600 on this piece, good precious card

Well, at least your bandwidth is up to 6720mb/s now, a gain of 320mb/s! 😉

Like others said it's probably other things holding the card back..
