Hmm, I was about to pull the trigger on a Dell Inspiron 1520, but Toshiba deals are very tempting.

Comparison (main differences are bolded):

Dell Inspiron 1520 @ $1,399.79 (including tax and shipping):
Intel® Core? 2 Duo T7250 (2.0GHz/800Mhz FSB/2MB cache)
Windows Vista® Home Premium Edition
2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 at 667MHz
High Resolution, glossy widescreen 15.4 inch display (1440x900)
256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600M GT
320GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM)
Integrated 10/100 Network Card and Modem
CD / DVD writer (DVD+/-RW Drive)
High Definition Audio 2.0
Dell Wireless 1390 802.11g Mini-Card
Integrated 2.0M Pixel Webcam
85Whr Lithium Ion Battery (9 cell)
Built-in Bluetooth capability (2.0 EDR)

or?

Toshiba Satellite A200 @ $1,179.20 (including tax and shipping):
Intel® Core?2 Duo Processor T7250 (2.0GHz, 2MB L2, 800MHz FSB)
Windows Vista® Home Premium 32-Bit
2048MB PC5300 DDR2 667MHz SDRAM (1024MBx2)
15.4" Diagonal Widescreen XGA TruBrite® display (1280x800)
ATI Mobility Radeon? HD 2600 with 256MB GDDR2
80GB HDD (5400rpm, Serial-ATA)
DVD SuperMulti (+/-R double layer) drive
Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG (802.11a/b/g)
Bluetooth® Version 2.0 +EDR
(6-Cell, 4000mAh) Lithium Ion battery

or for couple hundreds more?

Toshiba Satellite P200 @ $1,382.40 (including tax and shipping):
Intel® Core?2 Duo Processor T7250 (2.0GHz, 2MB L2, 800MHz FSB)
Windows Vista® Home Premium 32-Bit
2048MB PC5300 DDR2 667MHz SDRAM (1024MBx2)
17.0" Diagonal Widescreen WXGA+ TruBrite® display (1440x900)
ATI Mobility Radeon? HD 2600 with 256MB GDDR2
80GB HDD (5400rpm, Serial-ATA)
DVD SuperMulti (+/-R double layer) drive
Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG (802.11a/b/g)
Bluetooth® Version 2.0 +EDR
Harman/Kardon® stereo speakers
(9-Cell, 6000mAh) Lithium Ion battery

This will be a multi-purpose laptop that will also be use for gaming. Main difference is the Dell uses Nvidia 8600M and Toshiba uses ATI Mobility 2600. No idea which one of these two chips is better.

Of the 15.4? screen battle, Inspiron is 1440x900 vs. A200 1280x800. Can either of these graphic chips drive a native resolution of 1440x900 smoothly or should I just stay with 1280x800?

For $50 more I could upgrade the CPU to a T7500 (2.2GHz, 4MB L2 cache, 800MHz FSB), is that worth it?

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
