20% off all computer building supplies

Just about everything you need for a computer is 20% off at Micro Center. They don't have that many stores but those of you that live near one might appreciate knowing.

Well, they say 20% off but I'm not seeing it. I can't tell if the current price on products is with or without 20% off. There's no before price listed and nothing is discounted when you add items to your shopping cart.

A AMD Athlon 64 2800+ is going for $159.99. 3500+ for $279.99.

"*20% off BYOS products from select manufacturers / Not all products are available online / Selection varies by store / PLEASE NOTE: Web prices reflect percentage off pricing and instant savings where applicable. Prices good through 01/16/05"

I have the print copy of the ad in front of me.

20% off all Intel P4 Processors / 20% off all AMD Athlon 64 Processors (FXes included)

20% off all Motherboards by Chaintech, Asus, Shuttle, MSI, Abit, DFI, and Soyo.

20% off all computer cases by Coolermaster, Aspire, MGE (?), Coolergiant (?), Antec, and AMS

20% on all PSUs from Seasonic, Coolergiant, Aspire, Thermaltake, Soyo, AMS, Ultra, MGE, Startech.com, and Allied.

20% on all Graphics Cards by Diamond, ATI, eVGA, Visiontek, and Abit.

20% on all Sound Cards by Creative, Chaintech, and Mad Dog.

20% on all BYOS accessories from Coolergiant, AOC, Startech.com, Soyo, Thermaltake, Ultra, Zalman, Mad Dog, MGE, QVS, and Antec.

i think that price includes the 20% off so it's really $120.. might as well get it for $110 shipped from zipzoomfly.

MicroCenter typically charges FULL LIST BUT ther are a few deals to be had.

I am going to run over at lunch tommorow and check it out.

That's about right. For lots of computer building supplies... full list minus 20% is not going to be hot. But if you're up for scavenging around (always potentially fun at MC), then there will be some deals to be found.

The Houston store had 120 GB Western Digital HD's for $47.54 yesterday. Limit one.

I got in on the 120G WD for that price PLUS a -$30 MIR making it $17.54. But alias rebate expired 1/2/05. (Houston only according to the forums).

But now according to their web site they have

120G WD HD for $99.99 with 2x $30 MIRs .

So was the $47.54 with or without MIR? If w/o MIR, can you take the $30 + $30 MIRs making this a uber hot -$12.46. Again this might be Houston only.
