I've tried three different $20 off $20 Spiegel coupons (it's a job just to find something that is only 20 bucks with shipping there) over the past couple months and each time the order seems to go through. Then a day later I get an email saying the coupon code was invalid and my order was cancelled.

That is because Spiegel online goes through each order by hand (with or without coupon) and then cancels out the orders. I've had no success with them as well when it comes to this.

Did you read the foot note next to the asterisk on the receipt page? It said something like:

This price assumes that the gift certificate is correct. If not, we will adjust the price.

I will be pst if they ship it and charge full price.

I'm trying to order the clock through eBates, what am I doing wrong?

1) Go to ebates.com select clothing &amp; jewelry
2) Login to eBates and it brings up the spiegel.com website
3) Search for Timex Nature Sounds Clock Radio With Digital Tuner then the eBates banner disappears!

Maybe that can be solved if one of you can tell me which category this alarm clock falls under?

You could also buy this Emerson All-Weather Radio with Clock for $19 (shower radio).

I used the coupon last week and today I was told the item shipped on May 31st. I ordered the stacking baking/cooling rack and it was completely free. It should be here anyday.

On another note, today I got a letter from Speigel saying my order using my Mastercard had been cancelled because MC wouldn't authorize the charge. I called them to find out what was going on and was told my order for the apple candles was cancelled for the above reason. The thing is I never ordered any candles and I didn't use a Mastercard for my order, I used AMEX. She asked if I had a MC and I said yes, then she asked me for the last 4 digits. My #'s didn't match the #'s showing on the order. She concluded that the rep who took the order by phone somehow linked it to my acct. I asked her to delete all the info connected with that order as it wasn't mine. Be Careful!

I'm afraid this is where the emphesis goes. This is not a pricing or calculation error. It may be an invalid gift certificate.

kly, give it a day or 2 for the credit to show up. I rec'd my order and was credited the $20 bucks. The receipt even states that a $20 credit was applied and shows the coupon #.

I have ordered and received about all my orders,exept 2 out of 14.
All my orders were placed online,some GC's were meant to be used for $50.00/$100.00 orders.
Most my orders were free,or made a dollar,or around $2.44.
YES,they bill my debit full price,but credit it back same day.
