20 minute drop in WU time

I dropped 20 minutes a WU on my new TigerMP with (2) old XP1800, 256 Crucial cas2.5
from 4:36 0.417 WU
to 4:13 0.417 WU
and this is while I am still using it as server for internet access and watching tv on the video blaster

I used SoftFSB to up FSB to 140, and wpcredit12a to set memory timings.

not as fast as my 8kha+ XP1800 does them (3:35), but I'm not complaining!

On my K7S5A with XP 1800+ I changed the CAS setting from 2.5 to 2 and it dropped my average times from 4:04 to 3:52.

Could softFSB be used on a laptop. My p3 1gig is a real dog at seti and there's no way to change anything in the Bios. Also, where can i download it, and is it hard to use.

lane42,

I know what you mean about the laptop, I have a company Dell that has a 100 FSB and it stinks at seti compared to my other machines.
I found the link to softfsb in the 2cpu.com forums, a lot will depend on if you have the right pll.
