20" LCD Flat Panel Monitor

I was looking for something along the lines of 16ms with 800:1 contrast ratio, usb ports on the side, ect.

Only need one monitor, but the Viewsonic is 400:1 contrast ratio.

I would rather get one 800:1, or upgrade quality and get a 19" with better specs.

Well specs aren't everything, and each company uses different ways to get different specs.

Apple Display

Something not quite like that... A bit expensive. I would like something like the 19" dell 1901fp, but 20" same specs, just another inch larger.

The dell 2005fpw/2001fp are actually downgraded in performance when you go from the 20" to 19"

- That is a 21", the cost of 21 is a bit too much. I am looking just for a high quality 20" monitor.

why do you think that is downgraded in performance?
the 2005fpw and the 2001fp are very popular good monitors
the 2005fpw is the same panel as the apple 20in cinema which is made by LG

look at review by AT on the 2001fp

The 19" does in fact have slightly worse specs, but I thought you were looking at 20" panels. Am I missing something here? 😕
In any event, the 2001FP and 2005FPW are both great monitors.

The 2001FP is a pretty good monitor.

You said the 19" has slightly worse specs? Where do you see that at?

I want a 20" monitor with good specs. Too many 20" monitors have worse specs than 19".

I bought and love my Samsung 213T (21.3" LCD)! Do NOT go by the store displays of this monitor as they are usually running some crappy video through all displays in the store and does not do this monitor justice. I've had it almost a year and I still think the thing is breathtaking. I've recommended it to a couple of my customers (I do computers for a living) and they are just as happy with it as I am. I can't wait until I can afford the new Samsung 24 incher. Wow!

I would rather have a good quality 19" than a not as good quality 20"

But I am still waiting to see a 20" monitor that is just as good as most 19" monitors. A good 19" monitor usually has 800:1 contrast ratio, and 16ms (but 20 ms would be o k if that is how it had to be).
