20" lcd and graphic card memory

I'm still debating on whether to get a 19" or 20" widescreen lcd. The 20" widescreen appears to use a 1680 resolution.

I was wondering if at that resolution, what the minimum amount of video card memory I would need? My current card is a Leadtek 6800le which has 128mb. And I unlocked it so its using 12pipes 6 shaders.

But would that be enough to run a 1680 monitor and play games? Or is the memory just too small?

I might just get the cheaper 19", but am not sure. I also wondered if the text would be just too small at the 1680 resolution on a 20".

It depends on if the game changes the textures linearly with the resolution at same detail and thus having the textures take up more space (I'm not sure if they do). The card itself isn't all that powerful even unlocked and I'd recommend at the least a 7800GT to play on a 20" or 20.1" widescreen.
