So since I probably won't be able to drop a few bucks on a PS3 this holiday season, I was thinking the next thing on the list of toys would be a nice replacement for the 20 inch sony crt in my room. Is there any good HD(1080i/p?) tvs in that size? I tried looking at some etailers and I can only find 32" and above. 32" would be way too big for me though. So a 20-24" HDTV with good resolution, preferrably 1080i/p. Do they come that small?

Any LCD TV with a resolution of 720 horizontal lines or better is technically high definition.

23" HDTV is pretty big. But I'd have to say 32" should be the minimum. 56" is nice for everything.

sounds like so he could use it as his computer monitor as well and when he gets a PS3 he can hook it up to the HDTV monitor.

Well if I were at home I could post a pic of my desktop, but I have my tv to teh left and my computer in the center and another computer to the right, a 32 inch TV would be way too huge. guess I should have said desktop instead of just room. I probably wouldnt use it as a computer monitor but it wouldnt hurt to have that option. I am looking for HDTV so that I can use it with a ps3 or even 360 in the future.

You can find as small as a 22" but keep in mind that a 20" 16:9 TV is much smaller than a 20" 4:3 crt screen.

A 27-30" 16:9 is probably closer to a 20 4:3.

get a 24" dell widescreen LCD. it supports all the HD resolutions, has multiple inputs to take in dvd players, etc, and can run HD with your PC tuner card
