$20 for a SATA cable at Best Buy...WTF?!?!

Have two on their way from Monoprice with locking tabs for $5.19 shipped.

Those that do not know any better, or those that can not wait 3-4 days to get one shipped.

But the ones from monoprice aren't 24K GOLD PLATED! I wouldn't put anything less on my hard drives.

edit: oh wait, that's for USB cables 😱

Yea, unfortunately they maybe the only place in town that sells those cables when you need one the most, and Best Buy knows that.

Fortunately for me, I prepare ahead, and I have a boatload of extra cables for just about everything in a dresser drawer.

I have one for the cheap cheap price of $19.99. PM me within the next twenty minutes and I'll throw in a free beating. BUT WAIT, there's more, act now and I'll double your order. That's right, two SATA cables and beatings for the price of ONE. Supplies are limited. Must be 18 to PM me.

I got suckered once into getting 30' of Monster Cable speaker cable for $30 out of laziness. When I got my new camera and the salesman asked if I had a memory card, I lied and said yes to avoid paying $50 for something I could get for $15.

that actually sounds cheap for monster cable. you do know you can tell them you don't want to buy their cards too. it;s not like they wouldn't sell you the camera if you did that.

yea if you needed it asap then bestbuy will have to do, but if you can wait online all the way. One time I wanted to buy ram and just wanted to check the price at bestbuy to see how much would it cost if I got it that day. 120 bucks for a 2gig stick I paid 20 on newegg.

Went in for a 320gb portable HD newegg had it for 99 with free shipping Bestbuy 130 +tax

fuck bestbuy

This should be a mantra "Never buy cables at box stores". Like the extended warranties and other accessories that's where they really make their money! There's a reason every box store only seems to carry $200 Monster cables.

SATA cables are quite wimpy for a smack down. A piece of 1 1/2 inch liquid tite conduit is recommended for a beating that will never be forgotten! 😉

I'd have been honest. "No, I don't. But I don't want to buy one from you because they're grossly overpriced here."

Hmm, yes, I like... deliver sata cables, then rip the conduit from their wall and beat them with it...

edit: twice

50 dollar "gold plated" usb printer cable.

frys been selling those cables minus the gold for 99 cents😛

excuse me, 24K gold-plated and corrosion-proof connectors for maximum conductivity and error-free transmission of up to 480 Mbps are extremely important.

cough

Agent 142 personally recommends this cable for intimidating technophiles.

Yep. That Microcenter out in Fairfax is pretty solid. Surprisingly competitive to online prices, but I can get stuff that day.

I think it was only 25' of the lowest quality Monster Cable. Still have half the roll unused.

Ya, could have said no, but then they'd start their sales pitch or feel offended. We both end up happier this way.
