I make it worth your time to find or backup your own bios for me if you have this card.

ATI/Sapphire 9800 Pro 128MB memory, red board with black heatsink/fan, jumper in corner, Hynix memory.

This means you are like me, one of the very few that have a 128bit card being sold as a 256bit one.

I need original bios. OR one that works with this.

4 Hynix chips on board in a row that have 412A on them.
Cards P/N is 1024-1C47-00-SA

Thanks.

Thanks for trying to help me Cawchy. I did try already just to make sure, no luck. My card is not a atlantis card. They started calling them that after they changed to the 256bit version. I also posted this same thing at Rage3D Forums, nothing much there. 3 views in 2 hours.

Offer still stands to anyone that can find them.

to the original poster: WHY do you need the BIOS? Bad flash?

Have you thought of upgrading to the 256bit Sapphire? . . . they 'offered' a cheap upgrade a few months back (or is that 'why' you want it?)

* update*

Still no luck here, Furie yes my card is the Sapphire/ ATI 128bit version. Thanks for the link apoppin and looking but I've tried almost all on that site close to my card and with Hynix memory. I bet I've tried close to 20 different bios's now. I thought for sure this many flashes would ruin the card, but according to ATI, it won't hurt it. They did say only way for me to get it working though would be the original bios version from a card just like it. Somebody out there has to have it !
I can get the card replaced of course with another one, but the two week or more turn around and shipping costs not what I have in mind right now. That will be the worst case.

Sickbeast,
Yes I'm pretty sure mine is a 128bit version, check out link. The last picture on this page is my card 100% sure of that.

Right, I remember something about "L" shaped memory meaning you had a 256-bit card. If your memory runs straight across like that it probably means you have a 128-bit card.

One serious problem I have with that article is that it says your card has an R360 core; the only way to know that for sure is to pry off the heatsink and read the core AFAIK. If you didn't have the R360 core that may be why the BIOS mod didn't work.

I think that what you need to do at this point is determine exactly what card you have beyond all absolution. After that, find a BIOS that perfectly matches your card and you should be set.

As for Rage3D, yes, it takes long to get replies. I find the best method is to search for what you want. I've always been able to find what I needed.

I'm guessing that when you posted "Cards P/N is 1024-1C47-00-SA", it meant you knew exactly what the card was. How can you decrypt that part number though?

Contact Saphire, they said that they are replacing all R9800pro's that are 128bit, because teh specs state the a 9800pro has a 256bit mem interface.

Contact em and see what tehy will do.

If this works i want my $20 bucks.

Your card is a 9800 non pro. If your flashing with 9800Pro bioses won't work. Try a 9800np bios

Ummm....actually both the 9800Pro and NonPro should have 256bit Memory interfaces, so i don't udnerstand how you can tell if his card is 9800pro or np, andwhy will it make a difference.

He has a 128it version, if he tries iwth a 9800np BIOS it will most likeley be 256bit, and it will not work.

Ummm...that is called softmodding. It will overclock the card, but if your card can handle it, you will get a nice performance boost.

Acctully you are incorrect. Soft modding implies opening unused pipelines. The 9800np already utilizes all 8 pipelines so the only thing differant from the pro is its clock rates. You are probibly thinking of the 9800SE for which you have to soft mod to open up unused pipes.

http://www.techpowerup.com/bios/

try the 53rd on the list

If not i would try some of the 9500pro and np bios.

here is my thinking on this. A 9800pro is very similar to the 9700 pro. The 9700pro doesn't have a 128bit version, but the 9500pro which is almost identical to the 9700pro does have a 128 bit version. But i think you would have more luck with the 9500non pros. Anything is worth a shot.
