Wow, that is actually a pretty good price for such a nice monitor. It seems as though they just dropped their prices on their Cinema line. The price I just quoted is the Education pricing so those not in school will have to pay a $999. The other models dropped in price as well ($1,599-$1,799 for the 23" and $2699-$2,999 for the 30").

Does anyone know what specs these have as far as response time and brightness? How well do they compare to the Dells? Anyone using them on a PC for gaming?

It uses the same panel. But the backlight, power supply and basically everything else is different. Hear about the backlight problems on the 2005fp (brighter in some areas?). You won't have that with the Apple Cinema Display.
