20" Apple Cinema Display Questions

I'm on my third Dell 2005FPW which has a severe light bleeding problem. The other two 2005FPW's had the same problem. Yesterday, I called Dell about this problem and ask for a refund instead of exchanging it for a fourth time. They give me a RMA so that I could return it.

Earlier today, I ordered the Apple 20" Cinema display from Apple for $699, and I have a few questions on it. I do not have a Mac computer, I have an AMD Athlon FX-55.

1. Will this monitor work on a PC?
2. I read that the Apple 20" monitor does not show the bootup process before loading Windows XP on certain videocards. I have an Asus (ATI) X850XT PCI-E. Will the bootup process show on screen with this videocard?
3. Is there a scaling option on the monitor, so that games won't get stretched?

Whether games are stretched on a widescreen monitor or not depends on the game not the monitor. Most newer games (stuff you would buy an X850XT for) either support widescreen out of the box or can fairly easily be tweaked via a config file.
http://www.widescreengamingforum.com is probably the best single source to help you with that issue.

I think the scaling is part of the driver, atleast with nvidia. Congrats on the Apple 20"; I'm loving mine!
