20+4pin (power supply) to 20pin (MOBO) ASRock P4VM890!

Please guyz help me out I'can't figure that stuff out.!
Hi!!
I have mmm.... I wouldn't say old MOBO (I bought it of New Egg last year AsRock P4VM890 Micro ATX.) MOBO has 20pin connector for PSU also it has PCI-E 16x so i got the Video Card for it off New Egg EVGA 256-P2-N615-TX GeForce 7600GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported!! I need new PSU to run the card (with SLI support) but they all come with 20+4pin MOBO connectors. I've seen the adapters for 24pin PSU to 20pin motherboard, but I'm not sure that 24pin and 20+4pin are the same things. Also I'm trying to stick ATX PSU to Micro ATX EMACHINES T2898 case wich is actually works. I don't know how dangerous it can get though.
My CPU - Socket 478 2.53ghz Celeron D (piece of crap) 2GB DDR RAM. 500GB+80GB hard drives. To run SLI I need at least 400watt power supply (mine is 300w right now).
TWO problems - 1) I'm afraid to fry everything.
- 2) I'm afraid I'm not gonna get everything that card can do.
P.S. What is the difference between PSU's ATX 12V v1.3, ATX 12V v2.01, ATX 12V v2.2??!!

PLEASE HELP! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE...

Choose a quality PSU (not a "cheapo"!) with the 20+4 MB connector (make sure it is detachable/"rotatable"), and connect the 20-pin part to your motherboard.

They are all backward compatible.

A couple of things to remember:
1) SLI mode uses two identical graphics cards at the same time, so if I understood you right, you will not be running SLI, as you only have one graphics card.
2) The power requirements for SLI mode are a specific +12V capacity, so you'll have to look at the PS details. Some "300w" PS might have enough +12V current for your graphics card, and some "400w" PS might not, if they instead supply a lot of +5V and +3.3V.

Yes, I've been looking at those pictures on NewEgg and most of the PSU's looks like they are detachable but that clipper on one side of the connector looks too big and thick (my previous one was little and thin) Also can i just cut off that +4 part and plug it into 4pin CPU power?

If you also will take a look at the male connector from PSU it looks like it doesn't have one metal stick in one of the sockets, its just empty. mine were all there before.

Do NOT plug this 4-pin part into the CPU power!!! The CPU power has its own, separate plug!

And the empty pin is (I believe) what used to be -5V for the ISA bus, that hasn't been used for years.
