As the clock ticks over from 8:01 P.M. on Wednesday,
February 20th, 2002, time will (for sixty seconds
only) read in perfect symmetry. To be more precise:
20:02, 20/02, 2002.

It is an event which has only ever happened once
before, and is something which will never be repeated.

The last occasion that time read in such a symmetrical
pattern was long before the days of the digital watch
(or the 24-hour clock): 10:01AM, on January 10, 1001.
And because the clock only goes up to 23.59, it is
something that will never happen again

If you missed this one, there will be another one in about 110 years...
December 21, 2112 or 21:12, 21/12/2112.

Didn't your first post say this would never happen again?

So... what was everyone here doing during this momentous occasion?

I was picking lint out of my belly button.

Edit: Hey, kinda ironic that my 666th post is in this thread.

I was sitting on the phone on hold with my credit card company, playing Solitaire. Kinda sums up my life these days.

I still have about 2-hours until 20:02 local time... I just started a countdown timer... and to quote Sciencetoy, "Kinda sums up my life these days." :)

that is such crap... americans have always put month/date/year... and you change it just so that it will be symmetrical or something... at least be consistent...
