So I was recently away and had a 10k mah battery pack, I sucked that out like it was nothing within 14 hours between 2-3 devices.

Anyone know any good 20,000 mah or larger packs ? I dont mind the weight, just want high capacity to charge phones and tablets.

and is there one with 3 usb port ?
so far, leaning towards the anker 20k one.. any other good one ?

I saw 30k/50k ones but the review says they are not full 30k or 50k

I doubt many of the ones that are supposedly 10k or 20k are actually 10k or 20k. My guess is that they are probably about half that in reality.

My experience with anker has been pretty good, I'd probably use one of those if you want a solid pack with 2 (or more) usb ports. They also have a readout that tells you what charge is left in the pack, which is always useful.

You lose some charge to heat. A 10Ah battery will never charge 10 1Ah batteries for example. More like 7ish.

battery capacity is correlated with size...

a 20k mAh battery would be roughly twice as large as a 10k one, (and will probably take twice as long to charge)

I'd recommend just getting 2 10k external batteries... if you are walking around with a 20k mAh battery to charge your phone, chances are that you'll have a backpack. easier to have one 10k mAh in the bag, and hold the other 10k mAh battery (or just velcro the two batteries together if needed). also, it'll be quicker to charge 2 external batteries

also, you might want to look at external batteries that cater for laptops. they'll usually have a 12V-30V input plug to charge the battery (faster than the 5V USB plug)

With Li-ION, you can't discharge it below a certain point or else damage to the cell occurs. This is where some advertised capacity is lost (usually around 10%-15%).

Normally capacity is to LVC. If you have a charger with a digital readout like I have for my RC packs you'll see the charging losses I'm talking about. If you want to talk about other losses, another big cheat is the amp rate on discharge. The big the draw, the less capacity you're going to get out of a battery. They good ones rate at a normal load. The sketchy ones rate at a trickle discharge.
