The sad thing is there are some sixty one year olds who don't know what a debit card is.

By the way, there is a comma splice in your sentence.

Proves that anyone can punch numbers into a POS and get the correct change or swipe a card.

That's pretty impressive. I remember running the cash register (for fun) at my parent's businesses when I was in 1st grade or so, and some people gave me no respect. I distinctly remember one customer standing in front of me (I was just staring at her from behind the register) for like 5 minutes before she was all agitated and said "Could you please go get someone who works here??" and I just sort of looked at her and was like "umm... I'm right here."

Keep in mind, fundamental counting skills don't usually happen at 2. Even though he just punches them into a POS and reads the output, that's much more involved than you would think - you just happen to not recognize it since such fundamental things as counting the number of pennies/nickels/dimes seems trivial, but wouldn't be to the average 2 year old...or for that matter the average four year old

This reminds me of the little girl who sometimes does the register at the chinese place I go to. She's like 5 yrs old. So cute. And good a making change too.
