This is such a bizarre choice. The Intel CPU will run circles around that AMD chip but isn't price competitive, yet the AMD system has 3-Way Crossfire top end GPUs and the Intel one is paired with just a GTX 670 but then has 64GB of RAM?

Neither of these systems makes any sense at all.

If those options are both your best try at building 2 machines to do the same task then I highly suggest you head on over to the general hardware forum, copy and paste the sticky questions (and answer them) into your post and let the experts over there advise you on which parts to buy.

Remember to be specific when you are talking about what software you are planning on using, some programs like clockspeed and only scale on less than 4 threads while others can scale right up to 12 thread CPUs (and beyond).

P.S. Do not post in the sticky thread, simply copy and paste it into your post and fill in the required info.

For gaming and artwork i would pick these parts:

Intel i7 3770K
Coolermaster Hyper 212+ Evo Cooler
16GB DDR3 1600 Ram
Gigabyte, ASrock, Asus, or MSI Z77 chipset motherboard
GTX 670 2GB Video Card
250-256GB SSD (Main drive)
1-2TB drive as storage
600Watt+ Antec, Seasonic, or Corsair Power Supply

Just saw your other thread. Can you tell us what software you are using? The Intel chip would be better in general, but having 8 cores would be nice if the software you are using supports it.
