2 Wireless Routers, weird setup

Hi guys, I currently have 2 wireless routers, a Linksys WRT54G and a Netgear WPN824 RangeMax router. I have a strange setup in mind and I'm wondering if it's possible.

I have one computer that needs to be next to the cable modem and wired in directly - the user does things where latency is an issue, and the only solution we have found to that is being directly wired in. Now I have 2 computers that are fairly far away - too far and annoying to run a cable all the way up to them. I don't want to have to buy wireless cards for both computers, so I'm wondering if I can use one of my routers as an access point/hub, but connect it to the other router wirelessly. This seems mostly like it would be a range extender type thing, but with a hub inside it that I could connect my computers too with a wire. I realize the performance on my computers upstairs would be equivalent to a wireless connection, but I'm fine with that and I'd like to save costs and use the materials I have.

I know that's a little complicated, so here's my attempt at a diagram:

------- means a wire
>>>> means wireless
..... are space fillers to make the diagram work.

Computer--------- Router 2 ---------- Computer
..................................>
....................................>
......................................>
Cable Modem ------------ Router 1 ------------ Computer

And then other wireless devices would use the network created by router 1 and router 2.

Any help in this matter would be great, thanks!
